
The Chair of Governors of King’s College School Wimbledon, Lord Deighton, has announced the appointment of Mr Ted Lougher as Headmaster of King’s College Junior School, with effect from 1st September 2021, following the retirement of Dr Gerard Silverlock.
Mr Lougher was Assistant Head of the Junior School, where he was also head of modern languages. While at King’s, he coached football and cricket and sang in the Chamber Choir, before taking up the position of Deputy Head (academic) at Clifton College Preparatory School in Bristol in 2018.
Before King’s, Mr Lougher was Director of Upper School at Cheltenham College Preparatory School. He was awarded first class honours in French at the University of Exeter, where he also achieved a qualification in Mandarin, and went on to gain a distinction in his MSc in learning and teaching at Oxford.
